Giant otters are the largest otters in the world and they live only in South America, mostly concentrated in the Amazon basin. They live in family groups and are very social animals. They have been listed as endangered by the IUCN since 2000.

Charlie started taking photos at the age of 13 and after leaving school studied at Falmouth School of Art and Design. Since then he has worked for the BBC and National Geographic Magazine. He has worked in Manu several times in his career.
